If you had checked the previous button you would have found Bug
Not sure why the site defaulted to the bakkie ?

Will the Oil filter system work in a normal beetle, with tins in place....??????????????????????
What are the advantages as well as the disadvantages of running a oil filter system like this...??
Excuse my stupidity, but will love to know.

Yes, will work, very very tight fit. May require you to dent your tin slightly/grind a very little off the pump but i run one of those. Its a full flow filter, 30mm pump(BIG BIG PUMP) and works well as such. Think it is meant to fit fine with out altering but i have never seen that happen...
alants, if you up for a suggestion, please think about painting the underside of the engine tin black, it will aid in cooling. the chrome reflects the heat back to the engine. I had chrome tin and my engine ran hot. may not matter as much on a buggy but ya.

Thanx Mince for getting the motor photo on the page - I'll get round to learning the best way to do this
Because the motor is going into a beach buggy there is no problem with the external oil filter and my intention was not to put any more tin on the motor than what you see in the photo - I'm assuming that with the open back end the motor will run cooler anyway ????
Any thoughts on this one guys ?
When I get the motor back from DR at FFR and it's all together in the bug I'll try post a photo of the completed project
