Whats up with these okes

Post by Warwick-Lowlight »

Had a wee enquiry about some engeneering needed to be done on an engine and this okes basically tells me I should toss by engine and buy a recon from him
What ever happened to helping an oke out with some real information ???
When will we all get back to one good turn desrves another and not just how can a make some bucks
I have just gone on the road to restoration of these old beautes and the amount of comments that have been passed are awesome

What do these other okes think
Maybe a real helpfull rebuild station that is also innit to get these aircooled babies purring and not just some burk that whats to make some money and does not seem have the love for the game :?

I met an oak in our local fish shop a few weeks ago. He inquired about my Ghia and before he could finish asking his question, I said R70-75k. He looked at me as if he'd seen a UFO or an Alien. Then he turned and ran. Last Saturday the same oak pitches up at my house. As "HR's parking lot" was quite full on the day, he had to stop. He never recognized me from the fish shop and his first question he asked was "are we interested in Exporting". After a long story about not being able to get R40k for his beetle here, he was gonna export it for R100k excluding transport.

Don't these guys know we are not interested in exporting.

Its time to put a wall around my house to stop all these interferences.

Loopy and others - if you read this. I have all the time in the world for true airheads. But you get these flies sometimes that won't leave you alone. :D
Why do we celebrate the guy that invented the wheel??
Surely we must celebrate the guy tat invented the other three

This is a bit of a difficult situation here; If a workshop has reputation or needs to offer a guarantee they will recommend you the best. What kind of work are you talking about on your motor that you were recommended to do a full rebuild? Are you wanting a short term repair or a motor that you know will be good for another 2- 3 decades?

Another thing to consider is when you have a business it is actually to make money, having a passion alone and doing things for next to nothing won't pay the rent.
