There is a lot of custom stuff here and a lot of hard to find items as well.
1) Type 4 case - bare case - R500
2) 1800 Type 4 heads/ completely redone - new intake and exhaust valves installed. Valves alone cost me R2500 (38/44's I think) and are custom units - R2000 - for both complete heads.
3) Bearing set, mains and camshaft, brand new mahle brought from Jake Raby - R500
4) 2.0 96mm domed ceramic coated pistons/ sleeves/ con rods and rings - R2000
5) 270 86A VDL Cam Shaft - R700
6) Cam followers - 2 sets for core use, (price is R240 to do the followers according to the cam - (free if you take the cam)
7) Type 4 EFI intake manifolds that have been modded to run throttle bodies, IDF bolt pattern, Will throw in the 2 Weber DDH 44mm sidedraft carbs and injectors for free if you take the manifolds - R500
Brand new polo dizzy - R2009) 4-2-1 exhaust.........R300
10) type 4 crank - this has been gone over and has not yet been installed, still wrapped - R800.
11) type 4 1800 flywheel - this has been gone over and has not yet been installed, still wrapped - R800.
As I said, package price is R5500 for the lot, do the sums and work out how much this gear would cost you and also tracking the stuff down and you'd be sitting North of R10 000. I'm driving through to IMPI next week Sunday to pick it all up and then I'll be able to post some pictures.
