1969 Bus Project
My 13 year old daughter's obsession with old beetle's rekindled my interest in getting another kombi. Lady luck played her hand and I am now the proud owner of an original 1969 Bay, aptly named "Gershwin" by my family (after the handy fisherman in the Spur ad). Gershie, has been stripped naked, as the previous owner painted him black and silver for some weird reason, I suppose with a "CX" registration, anything's possible. We will be getting him back to his original light green colour. His body is in perfect condition (rust spot of about the size of a 10 cent piece). I will try and post some pic's and keep updating. Any advice is welcome, I'm a first timer (or drip as the forum calls me). I also have a '57 Beetle convertible, which i will start on in the new year...look out for that one

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.
