As the question of correct restoration keeps coming up, I took it on my self, to place a pictorial of "How To"

Should you need to do the restoration on a tight budget, and the wife has said to not spending the House money on that Car, then here is your solution.

This I have done in the days when I had R100 a week to feed a family of 4 (5 if you include the dog). And even in 1996, that was not a lot. Anyhow, moving swiftly on, it was a pet food can and gun-gum held together with bloudraad.

Blougemoerte before she was blue, she was a jaundice kind of yellow, with four different size tyres and petfood and bloudraad trumpets, a bird's nest wiring loom and no brakes. But the engine was perfect. 1300 twin port. Brilliant. I don't even have a picture of her (couldn't afford to take pictures, even if I had a digital camera )
