quizz....do you know what this is ?

Post by splitbusahollic »

ok
we can all cheat and run our fingers across the keyboard and google something if you don't know what it is......
my lighty came last night and asked "Dad do you know what a type 825 is ?" i had no idea...and i'm sure most of you won't either...
the salted one's like "the Fig" the "Pine" The Muderik and a very few others would most likely know...
but if you don't then why not take an uneducated guess here with open honesty...then go google it and see how close you were and let's see how many get close.....don't be a chop and cheat 'cause any one can do that....have some character.
and once you know the answer to that........what is a type 93 ?????
THANKS FOR PLAYING....and learning about the best freaking motor-vehicles ever build !!! :hangloose: :hangloose: :hangloose:

I like the Type 93! 650bhp from a 1492cc engine!

You didn't specify which car make
From fastest to slowest:

Birkin race car, not much is standard
Lotus Elise 111R, almost everything is standard
'75 SP 1600 with a few mods
B8 A4 Avant tdi, towing made easy

Werner Alker and I talked this week about his version that he had back in the day. Maybe one day I will attempt to build a replica of it or even copy the hatchback that Werner build.

Hey Jacques... I have an Italeri model car kit with one of those Type 825 's in Army "Kommando Wagen" version. Same like the Type 87 kit you saw on the work bench in my garage.

Looks brilliant!!

Hm... I have been collecting all the "Type such and such" and putting a picture next to it for a few years now, and T 825 was a new one to me. So I googled it (yes, I did!) and found a picture I already had. Now I can make another connection. Thanks!

I have no no idea what a Type 825 is - I'm still stuck with only a Type 2. Going to look it up now.

@Ron&Gill: Your IT guy is winding you up - there is no difference :)

Oh yes there is... an aerial is a whippy thing that flops around in the wind, and antena is a structure that doesn't bend (much) and in the case of a car, is often retractable...

Type 825 is a WWII Beetle bakkie. Obviously KdF.

I was delighted and very interested to see pictures of the Type 825. I have seen pictures of similar, home-made models but I had no idea that there was a factory made one. Wonder why they didn't continue with it... Thanks splitbusahollic for showing it up.
