Hi guys. Im a new member 2 this forum. We found a 58 Splitscreen about 6 weeks ago. I reckon we are pretty lucky, as according 2 the members they seem 2 have all dissapeared [No more barn finds).Well as luck will have it and not 2 sound 2 cocky,My son and I just found another 56 on a farm. The Oom was truly suprised that we wanted it. It was his mothers and been standing on his farm for the last 30 years. He had last seen it about 10 years ago, and could not tell me what condition it was in.(The farm is huge, I had 2 drive behind a koppie. Follow sand road and turn by a big uprooted oak tree. And standing in the middle of nowhere, there she was.) Will post photos asap. Keep looking. they are still available. Regards Hilton

Guys pls. Im for real. Oom Erus can vouch for me. I would never upset a fellow VW owner. The truth be told, I dont know how 2 load photos. My son is in Joburg till Sunday then I will get him 2 post some photos. The kombi that we found last needs plenty of work and parts but the fact that it exists and was found is a feat in itself. I will be calling on guys like us 2 help me locate parts and information. I have a tendency and LUCK in finding things that people say cant be found. If I find another one I will not be able 2 keep it as I have 2 many other projects. 3 1/2 Willys jeeps. 1946. I will pass on infomation 2 who ever is interested on this forum. If u know of anybody looking for Willys jeep parts ,give me a call. I need 2 make space Fleetline. Regards Hilton

:hangloose: Guys. My son is still not back.I know it sounds to good to be true. But it did happen. Just spent the day removing a bees nest from the petrol tank. IM looking for a petrol tank and a set of rims and tyres. Any condition. Just so I can move it around. And a lot of body spares.

Who says they can't be found? There are definitely still loads of them out there, but they the ones that need searching for.

Are you able to email the pictures? I can upload them for you.

We just really want to see your salvage mission and how the busses look!! :D

Hi Guys. I have a bit of bad news. U know ones tends 2 believe what people tell u. unfortuanately the 56 turns out 2 be a January 1960 model. A bit disapointing, as I believe the older the better. I spent the whole day taking out a bee hive out of the engine compartment, so I could get 2 the ID tag. Oom Erus just checked the Vin plate.... Jan 1960. Oh well I think I will have 2 look for a older model. Cheers
Guys and sorry for misleading u. HILTON
