Does any forum member belong to this club?
I faxed and emailed my application for 2012 membership together with proof of payment of R200 on 08 Feb 2012 and to this day have not heard anything from them.
From their FB page and forum it appears as if the club favours Golf's Jetta's etc, and aircooled VW are excluded?
Any similar experiences?

Re: VW Club of SA (VWclub.co.za)
i'm a member, as are Golfmad and Mr9a... they are more focused on the watercooled scene, and mostly newer polo and golf GTi's, but not totally against AC dubs. the former chairman has a 60's splitty and a variant...

Send the chairman a PM, or any of the committee members, they are usually quick to assist, and they do like the Aircooled Scene also

Re: VW Club of SA (VWclub.co.za)
Bay is doing good, starter issues sorted once and for all, mapping of the EFI is perfect, redid all the brakes & replaced master cylinder & rear slaves, paperwork sorted, on my name, licensed - a LOT of dust
But I would probably need a new battery soon, the cheapy in there is not so lekke anymore. My brother also will need to "borrow" my bus some times, since he is into Model RC planes, and he likes to build BIG planes with twin engines, so they simply cant fit in his MK1 golfie !!!
Planning a lekke long weekend in August, going fishing/camping/gamewatching/drinking - with the Bus !
