Recon of 1600 beetle motor

Hi all, my mother gave me her 1974 beetle, the one i grew up in. I need to get the motor redone, or to get a new subassembly , but dont want to spend a fortune. Does any one know who does this.

Your in Kempton, then the best place is to visit Bugger in Germiston.

I'm sure he will be able to get you going with the essentials before forking out money for a complete overhaul.
