I haven't shown my face around here for well over a year now and I can't but blame myself. Long story short I was on the brink of selling my beloved blue 1974, well used, beetle. After much consideration though I decided to open the tool box (and wallet) and get cracking on reviving my old love. After getting her mechanically and electrically sound (yes she purrrs ), i wanted to give her a fresh new skin. I chose black, don't ask why, I just always wanted to. Below are two pics I took after finally completing it all over this long weekend.
This is true! I've done the headlight rims and rear bumper, but can't seem to bring myself to do the hubs and front bumper as they're all quite bent and out of shape. Being the last and most inexpensive to get replaced I am on the lookout for new ones and open to suggestions of suppliers.
If you or anyone else know of any chrome rims and a front bumper looking for a new home, I am keen to adopt for a fair price!
Welcome Back MrHash, Nice job on the Beetle, do not see many Black Matt beetles, so it will be One of a kind.
May be a bit hot in summer but at least you have two mechanical air cons .
Keep the info coming.

It's not even peak summer and it's boiling, worth it though! I'm happy with it and from the comments I've had from people I definitely think it will turn heads.
