there are plenty tips and advise if you go through the forum
look under the "guides" section too

how much more performance? How big is your wallet?

first step is a decent exhaust
then you need to consider twin carbs and making the heads breathe easier
then open the block for internal mods and changes
then you can bore for higher cc
then stroke

how far do you want to go?

Paint it red,....red cars are faster,....its science.

Then consider a stripe. Stripes are directly proportional to speed. The more stripes, the more power, the wider the stripes are, the more torque you get......well at least that's how it looks here is the east.

Engine mods go hand in hand with braking mods. That's propably the best advice I can give you. Faster cars need to brake faster too.

Tony's given you some hints about how to go faster ... I say buy a BMW.

Driving an ACVW is more about the journey ... take it easy ... relax ... enjoy the scenery ... stop and smell the roses ...

If that doesn't appeal to you ... buy a BMW. :hangloose:

And welcome to ACVWSA!

Actually, it's a scientific fact that black is faster than red. White is the fastest colour though. So you will only be third fastest if you paint the car red.

Based on the scientific facts above, white stripes on a white car will be the fastest. Just saying.

My information comes from the foremost authourity on all things scientific .... Chappies wrappers. Truth be told, black and white aren't actually colours. That's what makes them so fast. Red is the fastest 'real' colour. (Still slower than black and white though)

You can paint an ST any colour you want...some Beetles can still make them look stupid at the lights.
