My tale of woe

Post by IMPI »

Hi ever since old David passed away I have been actively searching for a fiberglass expert to make my fanshrouds. Lots of promises but no luck until I Met the owner of a local bumper and grille repair shop she assured me that her people were well versed with all aspects of fiberglass work and that she will only be to happy to help me. We settled on a price (significantly higher than what I used to pay for perfect mouldings) I paid up front a whole R2700 rand for three sets. This happened in December last year. after lots of promises she supplied a set of the worst :bn: I have ever seen in my life.

These mouldings were so bad that I just couldn't take them She offered to repair and these photos were the result the repair consisted of spraying the parts with stone chip and after a further fight they covered the stone chip with some body filler.
By this time I was very upset and went and fetched my moulds.
They were very dirty and after washing them....

I found that these people never used releasing agent and actually stuck the product to the mould thus destroying it totally.
Luckily I have kept the prototype and currently I am re doing that in order to make new moulds This person has cost me a fortune and still insists that there is nothing wrong with either the moulds or the products.
Some work on the prototype

I hope to have a new set of moulds built by end of the year and will be making a few sets myself just to spite the woman When the first one is out I will probably burn the shit she sold me

Sorry to hear about all the :bn: Armand. I always say that it's worth doing it yourself. You can't screw it up more than the idiot charging you for it.

Armand. Doing it yourself is always the best, but you know that Anton Dekker will be able to help you with quality work if you want.

P.S. Let me know how we going to get those 356 parts to you.
Cheers

The Guys that can always think that other can do it better, till, THE OTHERS prove they can not.

I am sure you can do it better then these persons, and I am sure you will prove it to your self that you will.

Good luck, and here to an excellent job.
