2.0 CJ Bay Window Engine Parts

Post by The Gymkhana Fanatic »

So...I stripped my Bay Window last year to see what the banging was all about and the engine is quite ruined.

- Two of the pistons were hitting the cylinder head
- Hole in block Previously patched with steel putty
- Some of the "fins" are chipped and the cylinder sleeves show lots of chips too.

With that in mind I am keen on flogging it. Its in a few pieces at the moment but I genuinely will take any vaguely close to reasonable amount for any part as long as you pick it up or arrange the courier and pay for the courier.

I do not know much about the engine, its possible that its rebored but I have no idea as this is my first time taking an engine apart and my first aircooled car.

Harry Jones has called dibs on the Carb setup...everything else is still ready to go.

R500 takes it...you paying for courier and arranging though. I had a look at the sleeves and they are also not in great condition when it comes to chipped edges and fins. If I cant flog it for R500 then I will part it out. This is my first car though so I am completely at a loss to what most of the parts are but I will try my best.

Okay so Ive been having second thoughts of selling it as a complete engine. With that in mind, if you are looking for a part please let me know and I can send through some photos of that specific part. The engine is rather damaged. I've taken some meh photos of the biggest parts but I have everything still.

It is a 2.0 CJ Motor - Lots of unknowns but it was running when I had it in except with lots of fun piston knocking noises...

Im also willing to trade the below parts for a Samba...but if you have a normal splitty I'm afraid you will have to pay in a little bit.

Exhaust, Carb Setup, Distributer and possibly something else on hold for Harry Jones...cant quite remember but its sorted for him.

The rest is still available...Clutch, Pistons, Block, Cylinder Heads, Sleeves etc

Any ridiculous offer takes them.

I have the following damaged parts:

4x Sleeves
2x Cylinder Heads
4x Pistons
1x Engine Block
1x Clutch

Still available - I will take R300 for all of the above...or you can put in an offer on individual stuff. Courier is on you.

I do...but...Im not sure if I want to let it go for when I do drop another engine in. Im unsure if I buy an engine if it will come with it. But...PM me an offer anyway I'll sleep on it.
