Where to find airshocks??

Post by Classic Beetle Fan »

Hi , I've been browsing the internet, and asking around at places, about Airshocks.
I know a buddy of mine has a whole set of Gabriel Airshocks on his Karmann Ghia. But i cant find them anywhere , there is a place that sell airshocks in cape town but they are extremely expensive almost R5000 for a only the front set :-? :?
Does anyone know where you can find Gabriel Hijackers part number 49307?
Apparently they still make it in America : http://gabriel.com/product-search/light ... le&engine=

Found this ad in Dec'14 issue of SA Hot Rods magazine. Check out http://www.airsuspension.co.za . They have an older site http://www.airsprings.cc which is actually more helpfull regarding product catalogs. I'm also in the market for a set to put on the front of my rat.

The wantitall one is a nice deal...
Gremeltech gave me a quote of R5000 for only the front shocks.
I want to use these shocks all round on my beetle, so R6000 for front and back sounds way better than R5000 for the front only.

Thanks JMartinVW :)

I've read that, that's why I want to use the air shocks only for convenience, I have adjusters in front and adjustable springplates at the back, and I only want to use the airshocks for when I'm lowered too the ground, I can pump them up, adjust the front and back, less stress on the shocks, and I wont ever need a jack again :D :D

And my friend did the airshocks on his ghia front and back, he's been driving like with them for a few years now and never had a problem. :)
