Smallest battery for beach buggy?
What is the smallest battery that will suffice for use in a beach buggy? There is no electrical components installed, so basically the battery only needs to provide starting power. Am looking at moving the battery to make space for a lowered rear seating area.

Normally a 619 but check the sizes of a 631 or 634

Robert. Once the engine is running all electrics is run off the alternator / genny. Plus the battery also gets charged.
A small battery is great if the car fires straight away, but if you have one thats too small, you might have an issue if it takes 3 tries or 10-20 seconds to get the engine to take.
Your best bet might be multiple small batteries all wired in parallel.

What's your price range? I can suggest a 2kg battery that is the size of a motorbike battery for 5 grand...With the same stored energy as a conventional full sized 36 amp hour battery but more cranking amps. There are cheaper ones as well but I like the ultrabatt. Google shorai for another option
