Picture Upload

Post by Kafer74 »

Hi

I have been battling to upload pictures. I get a message each time telling me that the file size is too big and that a maximum of 256kb is allowed. The file sizes I am trying to upload are far below 256kb.

Is there a problem :?:

I use photobucket
some forums also have a dimensional limit - maybe this one does too?

I just just have up. Resize and then resize again and resize again just because you have to. That is such a massive storage cloud floating out there why not use it.. or are we missing something.

Hi

I won't be posting pictures on ACVWSA anymore. I still keep getting this message even when the file size is way below 256kb:
The file is too big, maximum allowed size is 256 KiB.

What is the use to post on here when you can't upload pictures. See you! :(

Have to agree with you dude - whats the point of having the option available on the forum if it does'nt work - I post so few pics these days because it is a schlepp and time consuming - this option on ACVWSA is brilliant and it really is easy to upload - but always the message that the files are too large blah blah blah

Don't leave man :hangloose:

As Tony said, the size (measurement) as well as bits (Kb) will determine if you can load the photo.

Most photos loaded onto forums are only 40 or 80 KB

Best I have found is to right click on photo, select "send to" then select "mail recipient", it will then ask you if you want to reduce photo, or send as is.

You select "reduce photo", a "new message" box will come up with your reduced photo as an attachment.

All you do is submit this photo, I normally right click on the attachment and drag it into a Picture file that I mark "Web Ready", once in there, I can select it and post it into this forum or any other forum as I please.

You can also then go to "user control panel" here on the forum, and place it into your photo album, you can then drag it into your post.

Hope it helps

Did you use the add image to post link? You shouldn't be getting any message about big files in that case.
