Well.. what can i say its "the shrekker" !!! and it pains me to do so, but it is for sale! she/he/it was born on the 9th feb 1971 at vw who named she/he/it 181 .. and by the 19th she/he/it was off to join the german army at koblenz. From then on i have no idea!.
as you may already know it's a drag car and was rebuilt on sky's discovery channel a while back... if you don't know, where the ffff-flipping hell have you been!!? anyway what she needs is a big engine (yours) to propel her up the sticky tarmac at your local drag strip (because i'm keeping mine that ive been running and really can't part with it just yet ).
But i have made her a little more buyer friendly though and have fitted a bog standard 1600 twin port so she can potter about town instead of leaving a big hole round the back, along with the engine it comes with an mot. She's all uk registered and has an age related registration number too. if you want to drive it on the road you just might want to avoid pot holes and sleeping policeman as its a bit low at the front... oh and the rain!
she will still have alot of her race stuff and some other goodies still attached (just not a fast engine) and here i will list what i can remember:
Electrical:
Odyssey light weight high amp race battery
stack air/fuel ratio gauge with bosch wide-band sensor
stack boost gauge
autometer tach with shift light
stack voltmeter gauge
12v ignition switch
fuel on/off toggle switch
horn button (for mot)
turn signal toggle switch (for mot)
lights on/off toggle switch (for mot)
stack oil pressure gauge
stack oil temp gauge (you'll need your own sender for this - very cheap. unlike the stack gauges!!!!)
2x lma fuse boxes for lights and other accessories
Fuel system:
concept racing fuel cell with safety sponge
in tank ford cosworth bosch fuel pump
fuel cell rollover valve with bespoke miniature ron lummus style breather box
in line fuel-lab fuel filter with removable/cleanable filter
braiding fuel lines throughout with black Aeroquip style AN fittings
automotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator with boost reference port and fuel pressure gauge (best suited for turbo carb application)
interior:
kirkey alloy race seats with removable kirkey seat covers
simpson race belts with arm restraints (needed for racing as car has no roof and you may lose your arms should the worst happen)
removable momo steering wheel
lovely black flocked door panels
Body:
obviously shrek the movie themed custom paint and custom shrek style decals
removable alloy front end
quick release alloy bonnet
all four doors easily removable
quick release engine cover
quick release over engine covers
was all sand blasted before paint, so no rust
Suspension/gearbox/brakes:
the gearbox is raised above the tunnel and uses a ron lummus solid gearbox raise kit, the box itself is standard gear'd ratio item (not 3.88 pinion) but has a 4 spider geared super diff, heavy duty alloy side plate.
csp shifter
hydraulic jamaar clutch slave cylinder
heavy duty chromoly drive shafts
new cv joints
clutch and brake pedal pots are wilwood
hurst electrical line lock with quick release button attached to the csp shifter plus brake switch.
koni shocks all round
front discs
new rear brakes (complete)
great tyres and porsche wheels and 60mm spacers, usual - skinny at the front and fecking wide at the back!
Brucey bonus:
In the last pic you will notice a pukka vw speedshop mid mount header, turbosmart/cb performance wastegate, t3/t4 turbo and straight through exhaust exit off the turbo with a screamer pipe from the wastegate running parallel with the down pipe (which is why there are two exhausts just seen in the 3rd pic) well this doent come with the car... but if the buyer happens to pay my asking price and tells me they will be going turbo... i'll throw it in with the deal- if i still have it. i basically don't want it to go to waste, aswell as the exhaust costing a fortune it looked and sounded awesome! so then all you need is an engine.
