I am looking for a wiring diagram for 1972 Beetle. Problem is if you press the brake, the hooter sounds! Very funny at times but not appreciated by all. I want to trace the hooter wiring to see where there may be a short-circuit. Any suggestions will also be appreciated.

Generally electrical faults can be attributed to bad earth.
I would earth the brake switch and see if the problem persists. Then I would check earth for the hooter.
