Removing paint, but keeping the OG paint underneath.

Here's my dilema, my crew cab has been painted over the OG paint and I've read that oven cleaner takes off paint and should get me down to the OG paint underneath. I'm not planning a rat ride, but I want to ride my bus around for a while as is before it's stripped down to respray.

Anyone?

I just got a reply from someone on the samba and they reckon it works.....I'm going to try something this afternoon as I'm bunking work......

well the feedback I've got is oven cleaner and the rough side of a scotch brite sponge..........the results sound encouraging............

What happened with this?

I want to remove some flaky paint over the original stuff on my new ride's rims.

The OG paint is not in the best condition, but it's a LOT better looking than the differently-coloured crap on top.

I tried it with limited success. It does work really well with oldish, bad quality paint, put a lot of my bus seems to be sprayed the correct way.

The Americans have a product called grafitti off, naturally we don't have it here.....The other option was a mild paint stripper.

Saw grafitti of somewhere this weekend think it was P&P but cant remember
I used sandpaper and lots of elbow grease to strip my Puma paintstripper and fiberglass dont mix. with care i went through the layers one by one
