Here are some early mod pics of what I did with the Fibreglass fan housing with shit cooling

I basically cut all the sides off and cut the center piece out where the std beetle fan housing bolts down and mated the glass fible housing to the steel pieces
The big advantage of this is that the air that gets pumped out from that nice fan is not waisted by getting blown past the cylinder walls and heads with a gap of about 2 finger width

Now with the std tinware around the barrels and heads and bolting the bottom plates on aswell the cool air is forced inbetween the cooling fins than just taking the Lazy mans route past and over the finns

And all the side tinware can now also be used to seal the heat from the Exhaust tetting in to the enjin compartment

This is how the fan housing looked at first straight sides passing the barrels and heads

And the motor with std plates

After the fan housings Diet

Just before I have cut the steel center open to allow better flow coming from the fan
Once the fibre has dried I will take the housing off and cut the excess steel from the plates that will restrict the flow
I will also flow the inside of the housing with fibre glass and make a divertion plate to divert some air to the cylinder 3+4
