1957 Bus

Post by Eugene »

So some time ago, I picked up this 57 from under a tree and gave it to my son. He worked on weekends and sold all his other stuff, like his racing bicycle, one bumper and some other goodies to fix her up. Took it to a :jerkoff: for a respray and 4 months later I collected the bus and took it to another gent. Here are some before and after pics. Will post more as he gets down to the hard work. Oh by the way,....his bus..his money..he can do what he wants

Looks like it's missing a set of bumpers...

Hp is how fast you hit the wall, and Torque is how far you take the wall with you."

Looks like an awesome start. But one question ... Where was this tree?
Now where was that bolt from again ...?
And do I need to weld that together?

I like the colours as well. Very nice.
The only substitute for cubic inches are more cubic inches.

Remember last year when somebody wanted to swop a 64 beetle for his bus. Glad he decided to keep the bus.
Good to see the progress.
Is he going to assemble it himself?
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).

I'll help him but want him to do as much as possible

Looking good, Eugene! My only question is - since kids are so technologically knowledgeble these days - why don't you let him register on the Forum with his own username? (If he for example wins a raffle, it will give his project a healthy boost)
