Looking very good.
I have a question... what thingy's do you have on the quarter-vent windows? The metal-thingy? Is it some kind of "lock" for the window?

Re: my 78 after spraying
shot guys
yes it is a lock/latch on the quarter window. u can only open the quarter window once uve opened the main one.
its an anti-theft mechanism. it was put there by the previous owner. and i know for a fact u need it. i once locked my keys in my other
beetle.....the locksmith wanted like R140/R160 to open my car.....u can get in thru the quarter window - luckily.

Looking VERY good. I admire your passion that you have for the project...
Now... The Anti-Theft mechanism on the quarter vent windows... Does anyone know what exactly they are called, and where to get them? It is really a GOOD thing to have on a Beetle, since I also opened the car though the vent window once.
