After I have Helped 1972 Aka Shane with his with welding the narrowed beam together I will see how much work is intailed to do this Then might do this for the guys and even if they just ask nicely :D

I remember there was somebody on the forum who has actually posted he has done one and can do it for fellow members
Do a search
Adapterplates Available for Rotary in Beetle and others aswell
And Special Boxes built for Rotary Conversions and Scubies

You see no need to re invent the wheel ifis already invented :D

I am sure I will be able to do this in JHB for the one or 2 that might need it

If you a disk brake conv. the wheels tuck in nicely under the fender for the "narrowed beam" look. Only drawback is that the turning circle is reduced same will happen with a narrowed beam.
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......

Do a search

Pierre I picked up the metal I need for the gussets it should be cut soon and then it will be off to you...thanks again :hangloose:

Some of the things you will need to do if you narrow the beam is...

Narrow the tie rod assemblies either cut and weld in the middle or cut off what needs to be cut off on the end and retap in the correct direction.
Then the tortion leafs have to also be narrowed.
Then you must decide if you want to run shocks or not and that will determine what uerathane bushings to buy (long or short).
then its just the small things that have to be done...

Bugger what does it entail to install the adjusters at the front does it need any special equipment, or just a full bottle of mr daniels?

:D Just a full tank of the stuff

No the only special equip neeed is the Mig welder,Hand pipe cutter and a Hack saw.
