I'm also looking for two black reclinable bucket seats in any condition. That's like the last major thing that I need to buy.

Anyone have a set lying around that they would like to part with?

I can't fit any other seats because the mounts were removed by the PO.

Reclinable racing seats seem to be the easiest to adapt.

Is the pan like a beetles? if so why don't you weld them back in? if interested, i have a set of jetta2 seats for sale. Reclineable, but with that twisty thing.. Maybe that could work..

Didn't buy them, would have cost a bit too much after shipping + re-upholstering was factored in

Yup - Quite different to a Beetle chassis. The rails are mounted on the sides of the chassis, not on the pan like a Beetle

Thanks for the offer, but they won't work. At one stage I was looking at CTI semi-bucket seats, but they would have been an absolute cow to fit. So racing buckets it is - will have to make up a custom subframe
