todays update. If I could catch the @$$hole that took a grinder to the body he would be dead. The car has been sprayed before about 4 times and one of those spraypainters got somebody to use an angle grinder to take paint off. Now there are deep holes where the grinder has been dug into the body.

Amazingly no accident damage.

Some of the ruts are so deep, the putty right at the bottom of the ruts was still soft.

This is the worst of the damage so now I can concentrate on rubbing all the small stuff down.

Why dont you completely strip the Ghia of everything and let your two appys get to grips with some sanding paper???

The front fenders where very roughly coated with NS1 for the roadworthy. Now its a b@st@rd to rub it down. But I will keep on rubbing till I have no skin left on my hands.

0, the body putty is to fill all the ruts made by some sort of angle grinder.
