Re: Blitzkrieg's Fastback
Well, exams are finally over and I can start work on the blue monster again. Was so looking forward to the ghost hunt tonight
Hopefully it will happen soon and we can make a nice outing of it!

Re: Blitzkrieg's Fastback
Welcome back Blitz, hope all went well!
If you were half as dedicated to your studies as to ACVW, then it could only have gone swimmingly.
btw, have you seen the notch has already some parts in primer, no pressure

Re: Blitzkrieg's Fastback
Thanks guys, hoping that it all went well! Karma the Notch and the fasty should be running at around the same time
I've started building a shockless beam for the fasty, so far it's going quite well. Will keep you guys posted!

Re: Blitzkrieg's Fastback
Tony Z your advice was spot on!Tony Z wrote:I posted something about this few years back
To remove the barrels, take a mallet (soft hammer) and hit the fins near the head. Hit them directly down. They can take some punishement, but if you bend them even a tiny bit, they will break. Or put a piece of wood on them and hit with a hammer.
Hit
when it doesnt work, hit harder
hit harder
hit even harder.
Say FK it I have nothing to loose and hit harder
viola, barrely off and undamaged. ---- only if you place pressure on the fins directly down!!!!!

Removed sleeve 1 of 2 that was still stuck. Now all that remains is to remove the no 3 sleeve. Which is in terrible condition as it looks like a rat ate a lot of the fins up

Whoever worked on the motor put the pistons in wrong - The arrow was facing the rear of the car instead of facing towards the flywheel
