Have any of you tried these shocks, will they fit a buggy?
Im hoping it will help with my rear sag when loaded up with beer and camping goodies. Might save me doing the whole suspension spline thing.
Anyone know if it fits or works?

Re: Camil Suspension???
no idea.... but I am pretty sure the ones in the link are similar to what you want.
Remember those camil shocks are made for cars much heavier than yours, so the ride will probably be super hard, not quite what you want offroad

Re: Camil Suspension???
I have a set of shocks with over ride springs clamped to them, they seem to work quite well

Re: Camil Suspension???
For those interested, Volksspares in JHB sell coil over shocks for R990 for a rear set. Comes with a spanner to adjust the preload. Alot cheaper than the Camil. I expect it to be a harder ride but i suppose sacrifices have to be made for ground clearance, especialy when me and my countless castle buddies go camping.
With my buggys rear fully raised the std shocks measure 37cm centre to centre, these coil overs are 41cm. I think im going to require the help of a jack or ratchet straps to get them in. They are arriving this afternoon, ill keep you posted on the fit and feel, if there are interested parties.

Fitted the shocks with a bit of effort. its quite a bit stiffer than stock but looks good. the suspension is now fully extended with no load. much higher now but ill let you know how the ride is.

Re: Camil Suspension???
Those are exactly what i have. They do topout/bottomout on rebound on a rough road but i can live with the odd clunk noise. I might try to squeeze some rubber in there to reduce the clunk. Will my buggy be alright with the wheels now standing at that typical vw angle? (excluding tire wear issues)
