Numerous engine/mechanical bits available.

Post by dsan »

Just entered a garage of a guy who has 20 years of veedub parts available and is clearing it all out. I'll be heading down there again tomorrow with a camera and notepad, but thought if anyone needs anything mechanical, reply to this thread and I can always ask him.

To give you an idea, he has:

- more cranks than you can imagine
- engine blocks 1100 all the way up to the water cooled kombi range
- oil coolers
- tin
- dual carbs (webers, solex's) all complete with linkages
- original 1100 silencer, never used, perfect condition
- 1100 engine bits (just got rid of an entire 1100 engine for 200 bucks)
- suspension
- hundreds of cams, pistons the lot

5 garages and storage areas of bits.

So, if you are in dire need of something, let me know and ill ask him to have a look.

Hi there

Does he have anything for a 57 beetle in the line of wheel drums and all the bits that go with it?

Are these things new? 1200 single port heads and covers, valvetrain, valves or complete set heads. Also 2.0L aircooled heads for a bus. 1700 Type 4 Fi case?

Apart from the 30hp bus exhaust as discussed, I'd be interested in buying everything.

I am looking for 1300 and 1600 tp heads and tin, if there are good casings, I would also be interested.
If there are still dual carbs available, I would love a set or two
also manifolds etc

Dsan, if he has any fuel injection stuff and type 3 engines/parts or type 3 glass, I'm interested.
