Wheel's finally made it down from the hood (jhb). I'm thinking get them sorted in a matte black, just need to find someone down here who walks the walk and doesn't bullshit (as is often the case with companies down here)

not many pics to include but various parts have arrived in london in prep for me to bring them back, they are:

- proper safari window seals
- SA axle conversion kit (hello business class luggage allowance!)
- Safety Stars

Also picked up the twin weber kit with linkage and manifolds, in addition to the engle 110 cam. hoping the bodywork will start first thing next month

Thought it be good to give it an update.

Car is still sitting in pretoria waiting for police clearance. Pretty annoyed now, feels like it's dragging on. If anyone has any contacts there, I'd be keen on knowing.

Have been collected parts like mad. These include wooden slats for the load bed, SA kit for Bugger to do his stuff, vintage badges. 2 cow hides for the interior, a nice banjo steering wheel and a reconditioned set of twin webers.

now if only I can get it over to Bugoff to do his magic, I'd be a happier man

The parts you are assembling sounds amazing! Love the safety star.
Can't wait for some more pics.

Why not try the wheels as they are first? They look pretty tasty from where I am sitting...

Plans are afoot to get it into Ferdi's yard, thanks to Bugger. In the meantime, this arrived at my address in London.

The rear will be converted to a swing axle setup, the front is another story. I'm struggling to find someone who can narrow a bus beam here in SA. I'll bring dropped spindles with me from the UK but ideally want to have a 4" narrowed beam up front to tuck those porsche rims in nicely

Not a good idea to play with life and limb components if you don't have a good idea of what you're doing
If it's too low, you're too old
