that is a bit more permanent than the one I use...

It stops the nose-cone breaking off during heavy acceleration. Theoretically is the car wheelies, the car is pushed thru the gearbox and lifted by the nosecone. This plate transfers the lift onto the pan instead of it going thru the mount

So it takes pressure off the gearbox. Would you reccomend mounting one?

only if you have extra HP. It also transmits more noise into the car.

Dont you get ones with rubber mounts aswell? Wont that help with the noise?
