Yeah, somebody gets it!
They are a strange lot. I ran into a bunch of Cloggies in the airport in Johannesburg on my way out. Bunch of loons. Well, they've got 9 points!!

Haha, very subtle... Hopefully they'll need the cars a bit longer...

They were all parked at SACD ( SA container depot) in CT. It is possible that they were only arriving then via container but I doubt they would get all those sponsors etc. just to ship them here, so they were probably on their way home.

AFAIK they drove from Holland to SA and are being shipped home. There was a thread about this elsewhere on the forum... or did I see it on yahoo?

They drove down from Holland, took them about 2 months. The first "stopover" or "Oranjecamping" was in Pretoria, then they drove to Durban for the match there and then to Cape Town. The "normal" size cars are containered back to Holland and the bigger ones are going onto a RORO ship. Some guys (and girls) stay behind and are going to Namibia and Moz.
The Opel Manta's front windscreen was thrown out by youngsters somewhere in North Africa and it is actually a Peugeot 504's windscreen ducttaped in there

Evidently only some of the cars are going back to Europe from Cape Town as the rest of the convoy are on their way to Soccer City! I'll check later what's supposed to happen after that...
