I was going thru the specifications of the Remmele Beetle.I noticed that it is based on a 1984 Mexican Beetle.Mexican Beetles are all swingaxle. The Remmele beetle is converted to IRS using Porsche 944 parts .Is it feasible here in ZA to convert a swingaxle Bug to IRS using bits from a Porsche 924/944?You would obviously have to get a different gearbox, but the rest of it?Can it be done?
IF only bloody VWSA gave us IRS...........Sigh

IRS is not to difficult to do. But finding the parts is the issue. 924 s used bug rear suspension and the only real gain would be the aluminium trailing arms for a 944. The gearbox is a bitch to find and the axles even more But it can be done
