The nice thing about restoration is the fact that you teach yourself a new set of skills....spraypainting, engin-building, welding, electrical, etc...
Would not have it any other way........yay!

I unfortunately had a setback lastnight between 10h36 & 04h00 AM when the toll of South African crime came to my farm...... They broke into the SP and took the Porsche Mags (as seen in the photos), 3 jacks, ripped out both door panels, alot of tools inside the bug, Delorto carburator, angle grinder, engin parts, Sony Explode MP3/CD, 4 Pioneer speakers, etc.
Please everyone, if you see someone selling these ...... contact me immediately..... 084 5000 935 Louis Roux. I know you guys will keep an eye open!
Thank you in advance 4 getting my goodies back!

When the hell will it end ? Sorry to hear about this Louis. Why would they steal the door panels. Mabey for the speakers, or perhaps the swinedog thief also has a Beetle ?

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

What a bummer, :x I will keep an eye open and ask the locals around my place since I am close by. When I lived in the area the main problem is that the guys use the railway tracks as a thru way, easy access and off the main road. - move what you can before they come back, or booby tray the thing (acid on door handles etc)....
