I appreciate the honest advice.....I think you are right, to stick with the standard rims....only reason I would go for aftermarket rims would to have them wider than the stock.... would you know of any one around the JHB area that would be able to widen my stock rims?
Speak to the guys at Vaal Piet's wide rims, they are in Vanderbijl Park and do rim widening @ R350-00 per wheel (last time I heard) Tel: 016-986-1317
As for re-finishing the wheels I would recomend getting them powder coated, you can have it done in almost any colour under the sun these days. Try J.G Powder Coaters for that - Tel: 11 914 3094 / 4163 - they are in Boksburg.

Is there a big defference betweent he single a twin port motors? I head the twin port have a better top end but the single have more torque, from what I have been told. I have a single port and been wodering if it's worth while sourcing out a twin port but if there isnt much difference then I wont bother

Ok will look into it as a thought those trumpets were already good for performance?

I had Cowley trumpets on The DarkSide for many years and was of the same mind as you, wrt thier performance, until i swopped to a TNT Performance 4into1. Man it was remarkable and the sound was better than the trumpets which do sound great. You just have better backpressure with a 4into 1.

But then again when I changed exhausts I also upgraded to the 1917cc so the power was there.....

what type of exaust would best work for fleetline bus? Im tempted to do the same type of porting and head work on a later stage as vader recommended.
I saw volkspares got a beetle sp exaust.
Where in pta or jhb would one get a ready made 4in 1 exaust? Or do one need to make one up?

Beetles came out with 14" and 15" as standard, I think it just differs with year models.. 8)
The wheels you have on the buggy are obviously not std. VW items, I had the same wheels on my beetle, also 14"..
