BREAKING NEWS...KLASSIC FAB PANELS in SA
I ordered from Gerson and paid over a month ago and waiting for him to give me a update on when the package will be shipped. I would support a local shop stocking his panels. It would save me a lot of frustration.

Re: BREAKING NEWS...KLASSIC FAB PANELS in SA
Just an update.....
spoke with Gerson Today regarding beetle panels and at this stage he makes the following:
early beetle heater channels, front fenders and floor pans.
type 3 pan halves are readily available so if there are more that one set required on the first order...please let me know.
if anyone requires bus "A" pillars complete please advise......( this is quite a replacement job to do and most guys only order the "A" pillar lower ends) i want to avoid sitting with dead stock if possible.
i will post the parts list here before i place the order initially if anyone needs to add anything.
thanks

Re: BREAKING NEWS...KLASSIC FAB PANELS in SA
Hi Jaques
Wish you alot of luck with this Buisness venture
Please put a price list together so that we can see what we will/would be paying
That will then determine if the guys are still "interested" or not. Who is actually serious or not
When will the first shipment arrive in SA ? and what will it be ?
Secondly , once you have the correct pannels , who will fit them correctly
Sorry i might be sounding negative, not intended , but these are the realities

Re: BREAKING NEWS...KLASSIC FAB PANELS in SA
Another short update...
looks like i will be able to supply the pressed bumpers between R 6500 and R 7500 PER PAIR (front and rear)

the rear one will be a bit more than the front....so provisionally if you need to break it down then the front Bumper R3500 and the Rear R 4000. this should include everything except shipping to where ever you are.
i will also negotiate with a few courier companies for good rates in exchange for on going business.
busy with the rest....will update soon....
hopefully the rand keeps this strengthening trend so the prices come down a bit more !
@ Andreas...i will post some links of restoration video's on how to fit the panels....if that doesn't help i suggest one finds a good panel beater to help.
Gerson will also join this forum and you will be able to ask him questions if you need.

I'm sure you'll hear lots of moaning, but I think that's a good price for pressed bumpers.
Gerson is already a member of these forums.

Re: BREAKING NEWS...KLASSIC FAB PANELS in SA
All this is super news.
Good luck with your venture Split, the quality of the parts looks good.
Hopefully I can support you too as soon as I get a suitable candidate for a nice resto..

Re: BREAKING NEWS...KLASSIC FAB PANELS in SA
UPDATE..
i have received all the prices from Gerson.
Because of the great deal Gerson is offering me it looks like i will be able to sell the panels here around 10% cheaper all in,
than if you ordered direct from KF.
i am busy placing 4 orders for between now and Dec....so if there is anything you need before the end of the year please LET ME KNOW !
The type 3 pans will cost around R 3650 (PER SET) excl. shipping and vat....because they will be part of a larger order the shipping and vat will not throw the price out the water.
At this stage KF only makes beetle pans from '52 to '67 they will cost around R 2600 ( PER SET) excl. shipping and vat.
i intend taking panels with to the George show for those who want to see them in the metal.
for those of you that haven't seen the Klassic fab panels...they are made accurate and strong and from 1.2mm steel.
Gerson makes an extensive range of single and double cab panels...i am going to try and put the stock list on this thread with some price indications, once i can figure out how to do that.. it is in MS Excel....if anyone knows how to do that then please pm me.
