Great what you doing.
What I find with my stuff on average shipping & VAT costs can be as high as 35% of the cost of an item, as rule of thumb. not nice. Even more for heavy items, cylinder kits like, 45%
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......

Thanks Rui.
the sad part is, that whatever we need for our cars we seem to have to import, and whether you do it yourself or someone else does it the duties and vat will always be there no matter what. :(
at least i can make a difference because of the fact that Gerson gives me a wholesale price on the panels and by keeping the markup at a very low percentage i can offer them here slightly cheaper than importing it yourself.

Thanks for the update. Do you have a price on a set of 56 beetle heater channels and lower pillar L&R.
Thanks

Gerson only makes the split and oval beetle heater channels at the moment....
He says the later model ones should be ready in about 3 weeks time.....they will cost around R 1300 excl. vat and duties each.

Out of interest, what would a Fleetline-pattern left cab floor set me back?

Hp is how fast you hit the wall, and Torque is how far you take the wall with you."

The cab floor repair sections are for Buses up '67. i'm sure the Fleetline's had the same pattern.
the left hand side repair panel KF 163 will cost around R 1043 all incl. (IN STOCK) does not include shipping to you.
you could go to the link at the beginning of this thread and see what it looks like. It will be KF 158 on these pic's as it is for a left hand drive bus, but it will give you an idea regarding the pattern.

Thanks. It's not an immediate need, but I'm sure we'll speak soon enough.

The panel looks good.

Hey Jacques,
Remember about 18 months ago I bought a bumper from you that was going to be delivered to me via a fellow forum member? Still waiting for it........

Price and availability of a set of bumpers for my Fleetline? Without the rails.

Will i be able to chrome them?

Cheers,
John

Hi John
i think you have the wrong Jacques by the balls here..
i've been on the forum for 14 months and have no recollection of selling you anything !
Gerson doesn't make the later bumpers only the early pressed ones up to '58.
i have a '68 bay (donor bus) that i want to sell. it has all the bumpers and i'm sure they will be fine for your Fleety.
i will put up a thread with pic's in a day or two.

My apologies.

Just checked old e-mails. It's another bus fanatic from the Eastern Cape.

Pity about the bumpers. I'm looking for the smoothe ones that I can have chromed.

Thanks in any case. :hangloose:

Just a question about the Early Beetle Pan Halves.
How long does it take to get in once ordered, and roughly, how much are they?

Looking at replacing my panhalves when it comes to the body work stage of the build., The repairs that have been done to mine are just unacceptable
