Nice, the need for speed, fast is never fast enough, keep us posted as to how things go, maybe this thread is the kick in the but I need to get all my bits together as well.
BTW the wife will not be happy with you, just make sure that you get the card statement out of the post box before she does.

Hey 4age I have the same block as you have, did you have any issues with it? i have read they do have problems, I agree with you those 044 heads are awsome, I have a set too, unported looking at doing them myself, what brand of straight curt gears did you use?

I had no issues with the ally block. I know there are guys complaining about the crank pulley binding or something like that.
I'm using a ally crank pulley with a multi v belt and had no problems.
The cam gears are made by scat. Quite nifty items as you can retard and advance the cam timing without completely taking the engine apart. Just take out the oil pump and you can change the cam timing.

Just ordered my pressure plate now... kennedy 1700pound. Should be able to handle much more than what my engine will ever make.
I can't wait... next month will feel like Christmas!

What clutch disc you using????
I am trying something, not sure how it will turn out, spring loaded 4puck copper clutch on a stock pressure plate
