"Buggering" around

Perhaps one could Fibre Glass some plastic conduit saddles in? Well this is what I have thought of doing when I get there......

You get these plastic attachment points with double sided tape on the back that you stick on and you can then run a cable tie through to hold wiring. I would look at those with the exception that you rip off the double sided tape and epoxy/glass the attachment point on. they found at builders. I used them with the double sided tape onto aluminium and a few have pulled off where i didn't wipe it down properly before sticking them, I needed a quick fix to get into the race so it was fine, will pop rivit them in future...

@ JamesD69 that’s exactly what I have, but like as you said they just pulled off. Thought about gluing them on but wasn’t sure what glue would do the job? Would the glue be a Pratley product?

Hi,

Any hardware store or electrical wholesaler that sells plastic conduit will have them - any good hardware store that is. Brights Hardware (Cape Town) sell them for R0.40 each - as per their website anyways.

All good - holds the conduit (electrical pipe) down on the wall etc and is secured via 2 lugs (one on each side) which one would normally screw down.......
I am sure Builders Warhouse will have sorry Warehouse - NOT my favourite store but anyways they should have with some luck and and some service

Wish I could continue posting of my developments but to be honest nothing has been done to the bug recently as I've hit a point were living in a complex has restricted me from doing all the work needed, and being the chairman and then stripping a car down in the parking lot won't go down well

None the less recently bought a house with a huge garage so hopefully more to come really soon now that I can start stripping her down further (Volkspares is going to fall in love with me again)...that's if I can get away from all the repair work (painting, knocking walls down, retiling, etc etc) that need doing to the place

It's been a while since I've done anything on my buggy……… More due to the reason that living in a complex with no lock up garage limits me to what work I can do on the bug. None the less, I recently purchased some 15" rims and 14" rim for the front .... I send them in for powder coating and whacked on some new rubber...the different it has made in how the bug looks is huge and so impressed how it turned out. In the beginning I was concerned about the what would happen to the gear ratio and power with putting on bigger tyres but...it's perfect and I still find that I have more than enough low down torque
