Thanks Rui, food for thought. I'm was planning on standardising my oils and brake fluids, guess i better actually check what Motul oils have in them before i put it in the Beetle.

O and Bugspray, I know rubbing yourself with olive oil before sun tanning is meant to give you a nice golden tan, BUT you dont need it  and its rub on oil, not bath in oil
From fastest to slowest:

Birkin race car, not much is standard
Lotus Elise 111R, almost everything is standard
'75 SP 1600 with a few mods
B8 A4 Avant tdi, towing made easy

Hi guys,

After reading all this (half of which just went far over my head), I still have a question. In an old engine, is it good to use products like Prolong or PS23? I was told to use SAE40, which I do. Will I prolong the life of the engine by also adding these types of additives, or will I be wasting my money(R199 a bottle PS23)? How often should that then be added? I have to top up my oil quite often.
