Yup, dead easy fix. There is a great link on the Samba for this, I repaired mine in about 5 minutes and I suck at wiring........

please help! After the fusable link was repaired, and we tried to install the clock it would run for a few seconds it became so hot and then smoke started to come out. Obviously pulled the wire out of the clock immediately. tried a few times, but everything was just the same. On the clock it says 12 volts. Wondered if that would be too strong? Really don't know much that is why your help will be really appreciated.

Sounds like your'e having fun :TIC:
Try to isolate the problem. Have you tested it outside the bus just on the battery? It could be a dead short in the wiring. Dont let the clock heat up to much, it's got plastic gears :!:
Cheers,
Didi
