I conneted it straight to the gauge.

I can always close that off. I think it would look great with 4 gauges together as in

Here are some more photo's of the project. I'm finally happy with the inside pipe cage after a lot of modifications. In the photo's you'll see the added supports and now it bolts through into the square tubing running beneath the floor to create a more rigid structure. I've also added the side bars (copied from Bugger's buggy).






The rear pipe work is still in progress (still need to add the engine rear bracket). Added the brace and additional support for the rear forks. The tops bolt onto the top of the rear shocks and also the down pipes from the roll-cage and the bottom narrow pair bolts onto the rear forks of the chassis.

This is what happens when you've had too made whiskeys - you get a brain wave and realize building cars is not difficult and o yeh sommer fasten the brakefluid bottle here - nice and easy to reach. Only the next morning you have to look for somewhere else to put the petrol tank. hehe damn I'm so stupid sometimes

This is an added bonus with your buggy(not sure if you realised it or not). With the top horizontal and two 'down' pipes you have just built your own Kafer-Brace. Preventing flex in the frame horns of your chassis That will make a big difference in rear wheel hop on hard launches. Plus, the added gearbox strap/brace..... With this set-up, you will be able to make decent traffic light launches/races (not that you will commit into law breaking activities like that though, right )

I did actually go to a shop and ask for a Kafer Brace, but the guy kicked me out for being racist!!

Hey the buggy is comming on lekker man

I like your box brace but also not the mountings is a good Idea but you always wants to go as close to as solid as you can

I normally cut a piece of convayor belt to put under the brace for the reason of holding the bellhousing as tight as possible
But all depends on the HP you are going to be after after a sertain HP one has to go solid on every thing as I am bussy on my Blue 1HOT VW
Some where on Wenzels post he has put a pic of his bottom brace aswell you need that one aswell to prevent the box to lift up at the nose cone on launches
