We did do the full flow ourselves. One of my friends has got the taps required to do it.
BTW, nice combo you got going there
Thanks. It should be a screamer. If I estimate we should get in the region of 75kw on the wheels, whell that's what I hope for.

My red beetle's old heads. Stock type 1 that has been modded.

42mm intake and 38mm exhaust valves
Ported and flowed by Supatune in George
Double high rev valve springs
Solid rocker shaft assembly
Std rockers with swivel head adjusters

94mm barrel size
VW Beetle 1303 - 2165cc Turbo
VW Beetle 1971 2332cc
VW Beetle 1969 - 2666cc Turbo
VW Beetle 1974 - 1600

Hey 4Age,

You luck dude, you are building my dream motor man... but mine would be less of a drag dub - for reliability.

Were abouts are u based - I would like to pound you brain for technical advice in the future when I eventually get to building my new motor as I would like to be able to learn and do some of the technical things - or at least understand what the heck the engineers will be up to. Unfortunately there are very few performance orientated engine builders here in DURBS - most guys are surfers...lol.

And I have a small budget so I would like to do some of the work myself...

Please advise if you can..

Hey dude,

Is this the same motor you building for the turbo screamer???

Wat valves do you recommend to put in the stock heads if you go to that size? 42/38

Any1 in Joies or Durbs you could recommend to do my heads????

No, this is a spare engine. I'll probably keep it for my cabrio. You can get the valves from CB Performance or scat, the biggest story is getting some one who can properly install the seats.

I use Supatune in George for all my cylinder head mods and flowing. The guy's name is Ian 044 8782113. Send the stuff down to him with a courier and he will sort you out. :wink:

I have a set of Bugpack 42mm valves and seats as well as 37mm valves with seats, brand new.

The valves are Bugpack stainless steel with swirl polish, the seats are Scat I also have phosphor bronze valve guides to match the valves.
4x 42mm valves R350
4x 37mm zalves R350
4x 42mm seats R250
4x 37mm seats R250
8x guides R200
With these seats you can run unleaded with no problems.

These valves are for T1 heads, seats would work but the T4 valves are a different length.
