67 Beetle price ?

Post by 69 Beetle »

I can buy a 67 Beetle that is still original. The paint is ok, it has a small dent on one of the fenders, a little rust around the front and rear windows, the interior is still nice and the motor sounds good. The person wants R17000 for it. Is this price right or not? I have no idea what these cars go for. If this price is right what will the price be for one in showroom condition? :?:

It has 4 stud rims with disk brakes in front if that makes a difference.

Does it ?

The difference will show if you have to replace the disks or the front shock as they are sooooo much more expensive than the std. beetle. I would pay R17000 only if it was 100% clean, no work needed otherwise walk away, too much, that is my personal view.

Nissan 1400 rear shocks fit with minor mods But are far to stiff in std form find a set of nicely worn ones and they will be great.
A tip for normal beetles always put new shocks on the rear and the old rear ones on the front it works really well
