What toys...? Some guy came around and collected them. He drove a combi... and he had a BAD side step.

Just joking with you, they're at my house. Let me know when you want to come around.

Nice Louis! Hope all goes well. I would love to check you and your bug in action on the track.

Dubster, you say Zwartkops is on the 9th of May? I need to make a plan to attend.

You would be able to go into the pits. They're not too fussy about that.

Pierre, ek is gewoondlik by die huis vanaf so 7pm. Laat maar weet waneer jy wil kom.

[dubster] I'll take some pics during the weekend and post it.

Took her for a drive last night again. The carbs def need more sync, she feels terrible at the bottom. Full throttle seems ok. According to the data logger she makes 81kw at the wheels at 6800rpm. :) I've tested the data logger before and it was really acurate.

For the logger you enter the cDa, weight, tire size and gear ratios. The logger has a built in accel meter and gps.

There is a thread in Advice which will talk you through balancing the carbs out. It's quite easy to do give it a try...

I'll have a look again tonight. It's just a timely story.
Bought myself one of those EMPI PRO sync tools for the job. It's worth every penny!

Forgot to mention, on the data logger I've got the engine bay temp hooked up as well. The sensor is located just above the nr3-4 carb. Standing still in the garage, the bay temp went up to 35'c. Driving around the block twice it went down to 18'c. So lifting the bootlid up on top does make a hige difference it cooling. Ambient temp was +- 14'c.
